Playing at the Park

We have been trying to make the most of the cooler weather this past week. Clare has really become a big fan of the park. Whenever we are driving and she sees a playground at a fast-food place, she says, "Let's go play at that playground!"

She is a very cautious kid by nature. However, lately she has been willing to try more stuff by herself at the park. In turn, she enjoys it more.

Jane and Sydney aren't quite ready for slides and jungle gyms yet, but they do enjoy a good swing!

Sydney really did have a good time; she just makes you work hard for a smile. Not to mention, she has at least one more tooth trying to poke through. There has been a lot of crying at our house the past few days. All the more reason to head outside!

Today marks an anniversary of sorts....one year ago today I was put on bed rest for what would become the better part of ten weeks. While it was no fun at the time, it feels like a distant memory to me now. (Those who were helping us may strongly disagree!) I am so thankful for the health of these two little ones and everybody who rallied together to get us through those ten weeks.

Come to think of it, a day or two of bed rest doesn't sound so bad right now!!!
