10th Anniversary Trip

Casey and I jetted off to Puerto Vallarta for a relaxing, kid-free vacation. 

We were complete bums, which was exactly the purpose of the trip.  We stayed in an all-inclusive place, and we never left the resort.

While we were enjoying fun drinks...

the kids were having fun with grandparents!

We were having dinner on the beach...

and they were having photoshoots with their dolls.

I think everyone had a good time!

It was so nice to get away, and when it was time to come home, it was so nice to see the kids.  Now our tenth anniversary is officially in the books!  Time to start planning for #11!

Graham is two!!

We are so thankful for this little guy!

Graham brings such a fun spirit to our family.  He is constantly making us laugh.

"Hairtut!"

A nice thing about having a boy, is when he needs a haircut, we just head to the backyard!

Jane was thrilled when it was he turn to bring home Charlie the Cheetah!  He ate with us, slept with her and accompanied her on all of our outings.

Graham is less than two week from being two!  He loves all things active....playing ball, running outside, climbing, etc.!

Sydney is so full of energy.  She RUNS everywhere!  She simultaneously keeps me on my toes and makes me laugh everyday!

This is one of Clare's egg she created around Easter.  She loves a good project, and often busies herself in her room working on one of her self-imposed tasks!

Syd's New Do!

This is how the hair cut came to be....

Every time it was time to fix Sydney's hair, it was met with much resistance.  She stalled, complained, wiggled, cried, anything to get out of getting her hair fixed for the day.  In a moment of frustration, I proclaimed "If you can't sit still for five minutes and get your hair fixed everyday, I am going to take you to get your hair cute short."  

The girl who has been growing her hair out for forever calmly replies, "I want it short."

As the saying goes, I put my money where my mouth was, and off we went to get her hair cut short. 

I love the new 'do...and so does Sydney.  It is cute and perfect for warm weather.  And best of all, it requires very little fixing!

Ten Years Ago Today.....

How is it possible that TEN YEARS have passed since the day we got married?

TEN!

I am quite proud of our ten years together.  Like everyone else, we have been thrown a few curve balls through the years.  We have survived Casey working nights, the surprise of twins, welcoming four children, and a variety of other things....and I think we have come out stronger!
 Casey and I met when we were 15!  We have known each other longer that we haven't!

 We've come a long way, and I wouldn't trade a single day!

Ten years ago tomorrow we were headed to the Bahamas on our honeymoon!  And soon enough we will be taking another trip to celebrate our ten years!



Happy anniversary to us!  Here's to many more!

Easter!

We stuck with our usual Easter traditions and headed to Deedee and Papaw's on Saturday....which was also Clare's actual birthday!

Graham enjoyed the egg hunt.  He kept yelling "more eggs!!"

The girls scored lots of loot, including these cute sleeping masks.

Of course, we had to have ONE MORE birthday celebration!

Sunday morning, we went to early church and then over to LoLo and Pop's with Nathan, Megan and Brody.

 

The Easter bunny visited us over there!

Despite some serious rain, we had a nice Easter weekend.  Thanks to everyone who made it special!
