Jane is, by far, my biggest fan. Her favorite place to be is in Mommy's arms.

Sydney is more of a Daddy's girl, but Mommy will do in a pinch!

Jane and Sydney have enjoyed many a meal in their booster seats in this corner of our kitchen.

But as Patrick Swayze so eloquently said in Dirty Dancing,

"Nobody puts Baby in the corner."

Following that admonition, we moved the girls to the table!

I love having them at the table with the rest of the family. I also love not having to clean two trays after every meal!

Meet Izzy

Look at Izzy being so cute in the chair.

That's right, folks. We have been invaded with an imaginary friend. Izzy, short for Isamello (you would not believe the amount of thought and conversation that went into the correct spelling of her name!), has been hanging around our house for about the past week. She eats with us, naps with us, plays with us, and goes to concerts at the park with us....


Casey wants to ignore Izzy so as not to encourage her presence, but I think it is kind of funny. As far as specifics, I can't get a firm answer from Clare on how old she is, what she looks like, if she's related to us, etc. All I know is she is a girl and she is EVERYWHERE!

Personality

Yesterday Clare took a really long nap which allowed me some "solo" time with Jane and Sydney. I had so much fun with them! They are at a great age...babies with personalities!

Jane

I remember loving this age with Clare, and the second go round is no different.
They spend their days climbing, exploring, fighting, sharing, pulling hair, playing, running, and talking.


The other day Jane walked into the room, and Sydney said, "Hi Jane."

It is so fun for them to really be talking. Now we get to hear what those little minds have been thinking for the last 18 months.

What's Wrong With This Picture?

18 Months!

Can you believe that Jane (left) and Sydney are 18 months old? I certainly can't.

We went this morning for their well check and despite a little cold, everything looks great.

Jane weighs 23 lbs. Look how blonde her hair is getting. A little sun and she turns into a blonde beauty!

This little monkey weighs 21 lbs. The difference in weight seems to be increasing as they get older. We'll see if the trend continues.

Who knew playing with juice cups could be so fun?
