Snow for Days

We woke up on Valentine's Day to lots of snow!  Little did we know that it was only the beginning!  The younger three kids were excited to go out and try their hands at sledding and any other snow activity they could think of.   Clare was less inclined to "play" in the snow.  It was SO COLD....the coldest temperatures I've ever seen in Texas.

As the week wore on,  we got more snow, and it got colder.  We were lucky and never lost power, but we did have a pipe freeze and burst.  The Texas homes aren't built for these temperatures!!!

I ventured out one morning to take a few pictures.  It was so pretty and there was so much snow.

Later in the week, the sun came out and Clare tried her luck at sledding.  The kids were out of school all week, and she had lots of fun with friends.

No one was quite as adventurous as Graham on the sled, though!

We felt very lucky to have heat and water through the whole ordeal when many people did not.  In true Texas form, it is 70 degrees less than a week later!

Christmas 2020

Christmas 2020 needs to be documented!  We stuck with tradition and went to Deedee and Papaw's on Christmas Eve.

The kids obliged the "stocking picture" before diving into all of opening!

Landon was a great helper!

This was the year for new shoes!

We headed back home and set up for Santa!

Waiting at the top of the stairs to see what Santa brought!

Graham was thrilled with a new dirt bike!

Santa brought all of the girls new phones.  Everyone was happy.  Here are a few more pics from our morning at home.

Jane has taken to coffee drinking.  She got a new Keurig and her own mug!

We followed our morning at home with a trip to LoLo and Pop's.  Jennifer was in town, and we had a
nice day.  We missed Nathan, Megan and Brody though!  Foolishly, I didn't take any pictures!

A few days later we ventured to Mary and Scotty's and celebrated with that crew!  Sydney and Liam were big buds!

Despite being such a crazy year, we had a very merry Christmas!
