Thanksgiving Break

The girls had the whole week off for Thanksgiving.  We squeezed in lots of activities.

We decorated for Christmas and welcomed Frank,

made homemade playdoh,

made cinnamon rolls,

and potty trained!

 Hooray!  

Graham is in undies during all waking hours!

Jane lost her first top tooth, and we went ice skating!

For Thanksgiving Day, we headed over to my parents' house. 

 Casey was in charge of cooking the turkey this year, and it was a success!

 

We had a ton of food, and my kid always enjoy playing with their cousin, Brody.  After the big meal, we decorated gingerbread houses while the boys watched the Cowboys game!

We made an array of masterpieces!!

Tomorrow, we're slated to go see Frozen!

It has been a fun-filled week!

Thanksgiving Feast

We were excited to join our kindergarteners for their Thanksgiving feast on Friday.  

Each class had their own feast and a little performance for the parents. Casey was able to be at the performances, which is always a plus!!

It's always fun to see the kids in their school environment.

The songs were really cute, and you could see that the kids had worked so hard.

Graham got in on the action too!

Too Big, Too Fast

Photographic evidence that Jane (and Sydney, for that matter) are getting too big, too fast. What's a mom to do?

Diamonds' Last Game

Today was the last soccer game of the season and the team party!  Coach Casey gave our girls a few last minute pointers.

Jane (10) and Sydney (5) have improved so much over the course of the season.  

Sydney scored two goals today.  She has come a long way in her understanding of the game.  She is aggressive and scrappy.

Jane is a great ball-handler, and she is really fast!

It was a cold, breezy morning, and these two were happy with the coffee hot chocolate that Emmy brought!

It has been a fun season watching these two play and watching Casey coach.

"Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle....GOOOOO Diamonds!"

After the game, it was time for the team party.  Each player had a chance to go up and receive their medal.  Their teammates and Casey would say some nice things about each girl. Jane seems to be enjoying the limelight!

Sydney didn't mind hearing all those nice things either!

It was a great season!  Go Diamonds!

A Happy Halloween!

Halloween was divided in two parts for us this year....we had trunk or treat at church and then the official night of trick or treating in the neighborhood.

Trunk or Treat was at our church, and the kids were so excited to officially don their costumes for the first time.

We had a great time playing games and winning candy.

We diagnosed a few costume malfunctions that we vowed to correct on Halloween night!

And Halloween night finally arrived!

We better secured Tinkerbell's wig!

We added some additional face decor on Captain Hook!

We sprayed Peter Pan's hair a lovely shade of orange red!

And we fixed up Wendy's wig!

Peter Pan was showing us how he can fly!

Every time we would go to a house where no one was home, Peter Pan started crying saying "I NEED more 'tandy'!"

If the amount of candy is a way to measure success, we had the best Halloween ever! It was a fun night and we've got the candy to prove it!
