Clare is NINE....and the Big Room Reveal!

Wow.  My big girl is NINE!  I can't even believe it!  We have had a fun weekend celebrating her.

Our gift to Clare was to redo her room.  She had requested new bedding, and we gave her a new room!  This is how it looked before:

On Saturday, while Clare was away, Casey and I went to work.  We rearranged her furniture, changed window treatments, bedding, etc, moved in a newly painted nightstand, etc.  Here is how it looked after:

When Clare got home, we did the big reveal.

She loved it....and I loved watching it!

On Sunday night, we did the family party.  Everyone came over, and Clare was so excited!  Her excitement was contagious!  We decorated with old pictures of Clare.  Where has the time gone?!?!

Clare got a lot of great stuff, including summer camp, clothes, shoes, and a pedicure!  You can see how Sydney felt about Clare getting all of this stuff!  Huge thank you to everyone for all of the great gifts!

We had a brownie ice cream cake and just enjoyed the evening!

Oh my sweet Clare.  I can't even believe you are nine. Happy birthday to my beautiful, sweet, loving girl.  You make us so proud!

9th Birthday, Cinderella Style

We decided to celebrate Clare's birthday a few weeks early this year when we figured out that Cinderella was opening over spring break.  Clare invited a few friends, and we headed to the movies!

I can't say enough how easy and enjoyable this party was.  The girls came over, we did cake and presents, and then we loaded up to go see the movie.

Casey took the day off of work, so our whole crew went too.  All of the girls loved it, and Graham slept through it. Perfect!

Party favors were a simple box of movie candy and a bag of popcorn!

It was a super fun, easy-peasy party...and this little girl was happy!

We won't discuss the fact tht she is turning NINE!!

Snow Day

We had several snow days this year, but one in particular was extra "snowy!"  Of course, the kids are always thrilled to get an unexpected day off of school, and when you add in snow, it's super exciting!

The kids played in the snow for a while.  Graham had the most staying power.  He finally came in when his little hands were practically frozen.  We made snow ice cream, painted, and then everyone decided they wanted to cook....and each make something different!

So, by the end of the day, my kitchen looked like this....

...but we had lots of delicious baked goods!
