Perdido Key, Florida 2014

We just returned from a great week in Perdido Key, FL with Casey's side of the family.  It was the kid's first time to see the beach, and I love how this picture captures their delight!

Our first beachy family picture captured moments after we arrived!

We had a great week, and I'm going to let the pictures do the talking!  There was lots of beach time!

There was lots of delicious seafood!

Some that we even caught ourselves!  We took our "catches" to a local restaurant, and they cooked it all up for us!  Can't get much fresher than that!

Lot's of fun restaurants...like LuLu's, where the girls got their hair braided and spent a ton of time hula hooping and dancing.

And Wolf Bay Lodge!  Hanging on the marina with Emmy and Grandad!

There were lots of cool things to do.....including a visit to the Naval Aviation Museum and a viewing of the famous Blue Angels practice.

Lots of fun Aunt Morgan time.  Graham was frequently overheard yelling, "Morgie, where are you?"  :-)

There was a brief introduction to the game of tennis....and we had a few who showed some interest!

We spent several evenings walking on the beach or hunting for sand crabs.  Such a pretty backdrop for an evening!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Dan, Dale, Scotty and Mary for a great week at the beach!

The Last Week

Last Friday was the Sock Hop!

Last Saturday was a horse riding party!

Last Sunday, we made our own peanut butter at the grocery store after church.

Last Monday, we met Brody for dinner!  Big fun!

Last Tuesday, Graham had his second day of swim lessons!  No fear of the water at all.....but a little fear of the his super-nice swim teacher.

Last Wednesday, Jane and Sydney are officially 6 1/2.  Happy half-birthday!

Last Thursday was Awards Day!  So proud of my girls! Syd got "happy helper," Jane received "star student," and Clare got an award for straight A's, and that's not even all of them!  Everyone had outstanding attendance...Jane never missed a day!  Great year for these three.

 Today....LAST DAY OF SCHOOL....

Now it's time to catch up on sleep, swim at the pool, and enjoy having my people home everyday!

Kindergarten Celebration

Thursday night was Kindergarten Celebration.  These two were super excited about the program, and Casey and I are so proud of how great they have done this year!

Big sis is proud of them too!

They were all so excited to see their friends all dressed up and ready to perform.

They have been practicing for weeks, and the songs they sang were really cute.

Of  course, we had grandparent support!

This is such a great kindergarten group.  So many really sweet friends.

After a teary start to the school year, Jane has finished strong.  She loves her class and her teacher, Mrs. Swenson!

I know Sydney will be sad to say goodbye to her teacher, Mrs. Cobaugh!

It was a fun night celebrating these kindergarteners! First grade is right around the corner!
