I think there are so many cool things about having twins.  And of course, my twins are the coolest of them all.  :)

Jane is still a sweet, tender soul.  Rarely does a day go by, that she doesn't bring me a picture with a heart and an "I love you" on it.  She has made some good friends in her class, ALWAYS follows the rules...at school, and her reading has really taken off!

She needs more sleep than Sydney, and when she doesn't get it, the whining really kicks in.  At times, she needs a little nudge in the independence area, but she is such a great helper to me and a great sister to her siblings!

Sydney is a riot.  She is witty, fearless, and independent.  She is a natural born leader who sometimes thinks she is bigger than she really is!  Sydney is my social butterfly who rarely tires.  Sydney has done great in school this year.  I knew she would love the social aspect, but I am thrilled that she seems to love the learning part also!  This little blondie occasionally struggles with a sassy attitude and pushing people's buttons.  She constantly makes me laugh, and is such a fun kid!

I love, love, love these two, and I hope they always know how special they are!

We played hooky from church this morning, and took our crew to the zoo. The weather has been amazing around here, and we took advantage!

Graham had been to the zoo once before, but he was too little to remember.

I think we saw pretty much everything, and the elephants, zebras, and giraffes were the favorites.

It was a nice way to spend a fun day.  Everyone had a good time, and enjoyed our 'out-of-the-ordinary' activity.  Graham was slightly disappointed that we didn't see the puppies.  Casey joked that next time, we'll just take him to PetsMart!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day from these three sweathearts!
My littlest heart-breaker was still snoozing!

Here's What I Know...

  •  I know that this little guy would've loved to play in the snow more!
  • I know that these two have spent 100 days in kindergarten!
  • I know that this little girl is worth her weight in gold as a big sister.  When tasked with looking after Graham, Miss Priss takes her job seriously.  So helpful to me!

  • I know that the girls had a great time at a painting class today.  Many thanks to Deedee for an awesome Christmas present.  The girls had a few friends join them, and everyone had a blast!
  • I know that while Clare may be as sweet as pie, tidiness is not her strength.  Check out her hands!  You should've seen her pants!

  • I know that I have been reading lots of books lately which has caused my blogging to suffer.  Some of the good books I have read include Sarah's Key by Tatiana Rosnay, Dancing On Broken Glass by Ka Hancock, and I am reading The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty now.  Any other suggestion?

Rock On!

Brody turned six, and we got to celebrate with him at his rock climbing party.  My girls had attempted rock climbing before, but it had been a while.  They took to it like champs yesterday!

There were several different spots to climb...some using a rope and some were 'free climbs!"  The free climb led to a fun slide, so there was lots of motivation to get to the top.  Pop was the official spotter at that station!

Everyone tried all of the spots....and I mean everyone!

There was no way Graham wasn't going to give it a go!  He tried the 'free climb' and the one with the rope.  (Forgive my lack of technical terms!)

The girls did awesome. Syd made it to the top on her first climb.

There goes Miss Jane!

I should've gotten a picture of my kids with Brody, but the afternoon got away from me.  It was a super fun party!
Happy birthday to Brody!
