Disney Days: Animal Kingdom and Electrical Parade

On Saturday, we were slated for Animal Kingdom. We got there early and headed straight for the safari.

The safari was awesome.  We saw tons of animals, from giraffes to lions.

The girls kept saying they wanted to "ride a ride." So, we headed over to the Kali River Rapids.  There is a sign that says, "You may get soaked."  Clare, Casey and I got soaked!!!  The girls loved it, but Casey and I spent the rest of the day drying out.

We rode Primeval Whirl, Triceratops Spin, and Dinosaur.

Then it was time for lunch at Tusker House!  We got to see lots of safari friends.

Safari Mickey

Daisy Duck

and Goofy!

We moved quickly across the park to catch The Nemo show.

Casey was able to convince Clare to ride Expedition Everest.  No mercy, I tell you!  The three of us conquered Everest!

On our way out of the park, we caught up with Tigger,

and Winnie the Pooh

and sad Eeyore.

We had covered all of Animal Kindgom, so we headed back to the condo to rest up for a big evening planned.  This was our last chance to catch the Electrical Parade!

We got to Magic Kingdom about an hour before the parade started.

We quickly saw that we needed to grab a seat.  We claimed our spot and waited for the show.

The parade was amazing.

It definitely lives up to the hype!

We took advantage of being in the park and rode a few more rides....Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

We had managed to avoid standing in lines for too many character meet and greets.  Between character dining and some good luck, we hadn't waited to meet anyone very long.  However, we decided it was worth it to stand in line to meet Tinkerbell.

Tinkerbell is Sydney's favorite, and I think she definitely thought it was worth it!
As a bonus, we got to meet Periwinkle too!

At this time, it was about 10:30, so we decided to end on a high note and hit the road.

Our own sleeping beauty!

One more day!
