It Just Keeps Getting Better!!!

Christmas 2010

Christmas is so much fun with little ones around. Every year the girls are getting more and more into it, and I LOVE watching it all unfold. Their excitement is contagious.

We began our celebration on Christmas Eve at Deedee and Papaw's house with all of Casey's family. The girls were thrilled to get there and start opening presents!

Before the unwrapping began, we were able to capture a family picture.

Let the games begin!
The girls started with stockings, and were delighted with each little surprise...

...even new Minnie Mouse underwear!

Everyone had lots of help opening all of their presents.

Sydney was excited to get new boots.

Jane modeling her new necklace. You can see Daddy's prized possession by his feet....a PS3.

Clare was thrilled with her school bell from Aunt Morgan. Now she can really keep her students in line!

Baby boy raked in a pretty good haul as well!
(Still seems so odd to me to be opening little boy stuff....will it ever sink in???)

After our first celebration was complete, we came home to get ready for Santa! We set food out for the reindeer, got milk and cookies ready for Santa, said good-bye to our elf, and wrote Santa a letter. This was so fun....there was so much anticipation!

The girls actually went to sleep pretty easily that night. They were up late and worn out from the day's events. Everyone slept good, and Clare woke us up energetically with, "Santa came....and he brought me roller skates!"

Santa came through!
He brought Clare roller skates, a Barbie, a remote control dog, and an umbrella.

Sydney scored with Tinkerbell make-up, a vanity, and an umbrella.

Jane got a pink and purple train set, a Wendy doll, and an umbrella.

The girls all seemed thrilled with their gifts, and so amazed that Santa had brought them what they asked for...and then some.

Next, our little family of five did our Christmas together. We opened our presents and had a light breakfast.

The girls all got capes that I commissioned my mom to make for them.

Sydney (a.k.a. Tiana) had to try on every article of clothing she got...dress-up or otherwise.

After breakfast and a little toy-playing, we got dressed, and headed over to my parents' house where we were joined by Nathan's family, my grandmother, and my aunt Jennifer.

The Christmas chaos continued!

More stockings.....

After stockings, we had brunch, and then began to open presents.

Jane is ready for rain, snow, or Flamenco dancing!

Bean bags for everyone!

I can't say it enough...it really was such a fun year. With age, the girls become more excited and less dependent on getting the exact amount of sleep they need. They were all in good moods throughout all of the festivities.

Many thanks to our very generous families who give us way more than we deserve...at Christmastime and throughout the year!
