Kidless in Seattle

Casey and I just returned from a long weekend in Seattle with my brother and sister-in-law. We had a wonderful time, sight-seeing, eating, laughing, and relaxing.

In my opinion it was a perfect balance of sightseeing and resting. We did the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, Snoqualmie Falls, and lots of great restaurants. It was so nice to move at our own pace and not worry about little ones and their schedules.

The girls split time between LoLo and Pop and Deedee and Papaw. Speaking of little ones, I think Deedee said it perfectly..."while the cat's away, the mice will play." And play they did...

at the fair,

with make-up,

at Izzy's birthday party,

and with a scarecrow.

It seems as though the "mice" hardly knew we were gone!!!

Even with all the amazing sights Seattle has to offer,

these three faces

were certainly a sight for sore eyes!

That is awesome~ isn't that mountain in Seattle SO huge? It always seemed to take my breath away. Your mice are soooo cute and the makeup pic made me laugh!

Well said! Trips are awesome & much needed, but there's nothing better than coming home to your kids!

Have you seen The Waterboy?

Oh - they knew you were gone .... but they were kind enough to entertain us grandparents for a few days. Jane knew you were on a "tip", Syd said you were in EE-attle and Clare was aware that you went on an airplane. When is your next trip ???

Glad you guys had a good get-away. Although it's nice to have a little time away, you really do miss those little people!
