Groundhog Day

By design, we are pretty "routined" around here. I work best knowing what comes next, and I think my kids do too. Typically, our days look pretty similar. Of course our activities vary between park trips, mall trips, playing in the backyard, going to the library, grocery store, etc., but the timing of everything stays pretty consistent day to day. So much so that there are some days when it seems as though I am living in the movie Groundhog Day. Clare has certain phrases/questions that she asks at the same time everyday.

Every morning, Clare wakes us up with her sweet little voice asking, "Daddy, do you have to go to work today?"

Fixing her hair is Clare's least favorite part of the day.
Whenever I am telling her what we are doing for the day, the first thing she always says is, "Do we have to fix my hair?"

While we are eating dinner, the conversation usually follows this pattern:
Clare: Who is taking the baths?
Daddy or Mommy: I am.
Clare: Do we have to wash my hair?

Then we go to bed and hear it all over again the next day!

I Scream, You Scream...

We all scream for chocolate ice cream!

P.S. Is it ironic to anyone else that even though Jane is clearly lacking certain table manners, she keeps her legs crossed? What a little lady!

On The Mend

Thankfully, Thursday has come and gone...and all went well.

Jane and Sydney did amazing well and were back to their normal selves only minutes after their surgery.

Clare had a bit of a harder time bouncing back, but from the look of the photo below from earlier today, I think she is on the road to recovery.

Thanks for all of the well wishes!

Tubes Times Three

After an onslaught of ear infections, all three girls are scheduled to get tubes on Thursday.

For the past few months, Clare has constantly been asking "What you said?" anytime we say anything to her. Because of the constant fluid in her ears, she can't hear very well. Tubes should be the answer, and I am excited for good hearing to be restored! In addition to tubes, she will also have her adenoids removed.

Jane and Sydney will just be getting tubes.
Hopefully our days of weekly pediatrician visits will come to a ceasing halt!

Easter 2009

Our first Easter egg hunt happened a few weeks ago in Emmy and Grandad's neighborhood. All three girls took to egg hunting quickly, and it really made Clare excited for future hunts.

Next up, we went to Deedee and Papaw's house yesterday afternoon for another hunt!

Today, we went to church and then over to LoLo and Pop's house for an indoor egg hunt and lunch. Nathan, Megan and Brody joined in on the festivities.

Whistle While You Work

Jane can whistle! She has actually been doing this for quite some time, but I only recently got it on video. The really loud whistle you hear at the beginning is me blowing a whistle, but the rest is all Jane!
